PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CHANGE OF PAIRS DAN STAD TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Change of Pairs dan STAD terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 14 Medan dengan sampel yaitu kelas VII A dan kelas VII B. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (Quasi Eksperimen). Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah cluster random sampling. Instrument yang
digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa lembar tes. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji paired sample t test dan uji independent t test. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa (1) Terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Change of Pairs terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dengan T hitung (20,48) > T tabel (1,70) (2) Terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran STAD terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis
siswa dengan T hitung (30,53) > T tabel (1,70) (3) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Change of Pairs dan tipe STAD dimana T hitung (1,735) > T tabel (1,67). Jika dilihat dari nilai rata-rata post test pada kedua kelompok kelas tersebut maka nilai rata-rata kelas Change of Pairs lebih baik daripada kelas STAD.
ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the Change of Pairs and STAD learning models on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 14 Medan with samples namely class VII A and class VII B. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental research (Quasi Experiment). The sampling technique is cluster random sampling. Instruments that used to collect data in the form of test sheets. The data analysis used was the paired sample t test and the independent t test. The results of the study revealed that (1) there was an influence of the Change of Pairs learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities with T count (20.48) > T table (1.70) (2) there was an influence of the STAD learning model on mathematical problem solving abilities
students with T count (30.53) > T table (1.70) (3) There are differences in students' mathematical problem solving abilities taught by the Change of Pairs learning model and STAD type where T count (1.735) > T table (1, 67). If seen from the average post-test scores in the two class groups, the average value of the Change of Pairs class is better than the STAD class.
