PENGARUH PENDEKATAN OPEN-ENDED DAN KONTEKSTUAL TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIS SISWA

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh pendekatan open-ended dan pendekatan kontekstual terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa dikelas VII MTs Amaliyah Sunggal. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif jenis quasi eksperimen. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara pendekatan open-ended dan pendekatan kontekstual terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa MTs Amaliyah Sunggal. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan dengan nilai sig. (2-tailed) < 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05) maka H0 ditolak. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) menunjukkan adanya pengaruh dari pendekatan open-ended dan pendekatan kontekstual terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, namun menolak hipotesis nol (H0) menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh.
ABSTRACT This study was conducted to determine whether there is an influence of the open-ended approach and the contextual approach on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students in class VII MTs Amaliyah Sunggal. This study is a quantitative study of the quasi-experimental type. Data processing was carried out using the SPSS application. The results of the study indicate that there is a significant influence between the open-ended approach and the contextual approach on the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students at MTs Amaliyah Sunggal. This is indicated by the sig. value. (2-tailed) <0.05 (0.000 <0.05) then H0 is rejected. The results of this study indicate that the application of the alternative hypothesis (Ha) shows that there is an influence of the open-ended approach and the contextual approach on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities, but rejecting the null hypothesis (H0) indicates that there is no influence.
