PENGARUH BURNOUT PESERTA DIDIK TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF MATEMATIS SISWA KELAS VIII

Abstrak

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya rasa percaya diri (self esteem) dan reaksi siswa saat mengerjakan soal matematika, yang diduga memengaruhi kemampuan berpikir kreatif mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh burnout dan self esteem rendah terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian asosiatif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs Al Washliyah 30 Pematang Guntung sebanyak 150 siswa, dengan sampel 60 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket dan tes, serta dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh antara burnout dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Nilai signifikansi regresi sebesar 0,835 lebih besar dari α = 0,05, sehingga H₀ diterima. Ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh signifikan secara statistik, namun secara deskriptif ada hubungan antara burnout dengan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Persamaan regresi yang diperoleh adalah Ŷ = 13,427 + 0,004X₂. Nilai koefisien regresi (B = 0,004) berasal dari pernyataan positif, namun secara interpretatif menunjukkan bahwa self esteem yang rendah berpengaruh negatif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa.

ABSTRACT This study was motivated by students' low self-esteem and surprise reactions when working on math problems, which are thought to affect their creative thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of burnout and low self esteem on students' mathematical creative thinking ability. This study used a quantitative approach with an associative research type. The study population was all students of class VIII MTs Al Washliyah 30 Pematang Guntung as many as 150 students, with a sample of 60 students. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires and tests, and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results showed an influence between burnout and students' mathematical creative thinking skills. The regression significance value of 0.835 is greater than α = 0.05, so H₀ is accepted. This indicates that there is no statistically significant effect, but descriptively there is a relationship between burnout and mathematical creative thinking ability. The regression equation obtained is Ŷ = 13.427 + 0.004X₂. The value of the regression coefficient (B = 0.004) comes from a positive statement, but interpretatively shows that low self esteem has a negative effect on students' creative thinking skills.
